Eddie Goldberg began his journey in the culinary world back in 1981 as a busser at the Inner Circle Diner in Lakewood, NJ. It was there that he caught the "culinary bug," sparking a lifelong passion for the restaurant industry. Over the years, Eddie's career reached impressive heights, including serving as Executive Chef at Gallagher’s Steak House, as well as at The Manhattan Steakhouse and Belmonte’s in Asbury Park. Unfortunately, the pandemic forced Eddie to close his last restaurant, One18 American Bistro. However, he soon joined a new ownership group at Slices of Hope in Little Silver, NJ, where he took on the role of managing partner.

Robert Heath Jr., affectionately known as "The BobFather," was born into the restaurant industry. His family has owned and operated eateries throughout his life. Though Robert's professional career focused on real estate and finance, his passion for hospitality never waned. Over the years, he has partnered in and operated various establishments, including The Manhattan Steakhouse, where he first met Eddie over 25 years ago.

When the opportunity arose to collaborate again, Robert couldn’t resist teaming up with his old friend Eddie. Together, they founded Family Tavola (Family Table). Their concept is simple:

They aim to create a welcoming environment where friends and the community can gather around the table. Using only the freshest and finest ingredients, they are reviving classic dishes and adding a modern twist to traditional Italian cuisine. Family Tavola offers a wide variety of specialty dishes, designed to meet the diverse tastes and needs of their guests.
